Foreword
We are particularly proud of SCC, our Sports and Cultural Council. It has always captured the spirit of what City of Dublin VEC is about. CDVEC sees extra curricular activities as important vehicles of inclusion. The organisation has always made sport, music and the arts an integral part of what we do.
In the Spring Edition of SCC News the story ‘Battle of the Bands’ begins with ‘Every style on show, from accordion solos to death metal’. And that’s how it’s been for 75 years - from Athletics to Bouldering and Creative Writing to Debating!
It is my honour to be president of SCC. I want to offer my sincere congratulations to Jim O’Dea and crew for producing this website. It provides a wonderful opportunity to mark the 75th anniversary of SCC and to showcase the wonderful work that goes on across the city.
