COLAISTE EOIN claimed numerous titles at last week’s CDETB SCC Orienteering competition held in the tranquil surroundings of Cabinteely Park.

Patrick Hoey kick started the day for Colaiste Eoin by winning the Minor Boys Individual title over the 1.2km course.

Aaron Aaliyah and Wiktoria Ferdzyn then finished ahead of Jordan King and Miranda Fu of St Kevin’s College to take the Minor Mixed Pairs accolade on the same course.

Eoin’s dominance continued in the Junior category with wins from Daryius Spik, who claimed the Boys individual title.

Shakira McDonagh excelled over the Junior course made up of path running, hills and  forest runs in winning the Girls Individual title.

Eoin’s duo of Sarah Flanagan and Patrycia Ferdzyn got the better of Sumana Begum and Christina Lagura of Marino College in the Girls Pairs.

Edel Doab and Natalie Lynch claimed the Girls Intermediate Pairs title for the Finglas School.

Joseph Carroll of Youthreach, Parnell Square was fastest over the toughest and longest course, 1.4km, of the day to claim the Boys Individual Intermediate title.

Eoin’s Andrew McCarton, last year’s Junior champion, finished second ahead of Zach Weafer of Kilmore Youthreach.

Marino College’s Fabian Gal and David Karibov won the Junior Boys Pairs with second place going to Josh Duggan and Dane Gallagher of St. Kevin’s College followed by Marino Colleges Sergio Lucacy and Stephen Giurgilla.
