All teams played each other in 14 minute matches. Then the top two teams played in a final which was also 14 minutes.

Finalists: Larkin CC and Kylemore

Winners: Larkin CC

It was a cold dry day. All teams got to play one another in matches that lasted for fourteen minutes. It was a very exciting competition as there were four teams still in contention going into the last matches of the qualifying round. It was Larkin College and Kylemore College that eventually made it to the final. Larkin had beaten Kylemore in the first round of matches but this seemed to make Kylemore even more determined. They put up a great fight and it was very difficult to call it in the first half. Larkin grew in confidence as they pulled away in the second half and won quite convincingly in the end.

It was not just the individual and team skills that made this such a great competition. All teams conducted themselves impeccably on and off the pitch, so credit must be given to them and the teachers that managed them. The teams that had not won a match appeared to enjoy themselves, almost, as much as the winners.
