SCC Animation Event

On Wednesday 6th April, Jason Ryan (Dreamworks Animation) delivered a full day of workshops at Ballyfermot College. The workshops, which were partly funded by the SCC, focussed on Jason's own 2D and 3D animation process. The workshops were attended by over 100 students, including BCFE animation students, Colaiste Dhulaigh animation students and art students from Kylemore College (secondary). All who attended enjoyed the day.

Jason Ryan, who graduated from Ballyfermot College in 1993, is currently a Supervising Animator at Dreamworks Animation SKG and before that he was a Supervising Animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios. While at Disney, he animated on Fantasia 2000, Dinosaur, Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons. At Dreamworks, he has recently supervised animation on Megamind, Shrek Forever After and Monsters V's Aliens. He is currently developing Me and My Shadow, which is due for release in 2013.
