Creative Writing Competition - Poetry and Short Story Presentations - Teachers Club -

The Presentation of Awards for the SCC Senior Poetry and Short Story took place in the Teachers’ Club, Parnell Square, on the Thursday 29th April 2010. The guest speaker was Kildare author John MacKenna who, in a most entertaining speech, gave the prize winners excellent advice on creative writing.

To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the SCC, there was a special category where writers were asked to write on the theme of 75 years in either prose or poetry. As ever, the competition was very well supported by people of all ages, from all walks of life, making the Writing Competition one of the most inclusive events of the SCC calendar.
